A Quiet Family Sunday
This morning we decided to do something different and visited a church downtown. It caught my eye last week while we were working on the Junior Ranger badge.
The church building is gorgeous from the outside and equally beautiful inside. It reminded me a lot of the church I grew up going to with the stained glass and organ pipes. (This was also a Methodist church.)
We enjoyed it and found the people there to be very friendly. Scarlett had her first stay in a nursery and did great! She was actually my biggest worry about going and it didn’t even phase her.
She only had one small breakdown. She is extremely obsessed with her pacifier “wubby”. It is VERY important to her. So I decided I should make sure her name was on it before leaving it in the nursery with her.
So I printed out a quick label on my label maker and wrapped it around Wubby’s tail. Well, she found the tag while she was in the nursery and got super upset. In fact, she cried and pulled at it until the ladies removed it for her, haha. They told me when I picked her up. Go figure.
After our church visit, we changed clothes, had some lunch, and went to the park. John’s been running a lot lately and gets bored with the same route. So Luke, Scarlett, and I walked while he ran some of the trails by the lake. The weather was perfect for it!
I wish I had brought the camera but I’ll get pictures on another trip. We walked the trail along the lake, watched the boats, found an observation deck, and ran up and down some big hills.
We had a nice family day and successfully wore the children out, which is always a great goal. :)
I’m so glad ya’ll had such a wonderful day. We are so happy that ya’ll also went to church. Please continue to go and take your children.
We love all of you,
Grandaddy and Grandmommie
